Precision in Every Pour: The Kwik Kerb Process
From Bare Dirt to a Polished Edge—In a Single Day
One of the most common questions we get is: "How do you get the curves so perfect?" The answer is a blend of specialized technology and old-school craftsmanship. At Kwik Kerb by Guido, we’ve moved past the days of messy wood forms and hand-mixed wheelbarrows. We use the world-leading Kwik Kerb extrusion system to create continuous, steel-reinforced concrete borders that follow the natural flow of your landscape.
Our process is designed to be low-impact and high-speed. We know your time is valuable, which is why most of our residential projects in the Inland Empire and North San Diego are completed in just one day. We don’t just "pour concrete"—we extrude a permanent foundation for your yard’s curb appeal.
Step inside our process to see how the "Guido Edge" is built to last a lifetime.
Precision Ground Prep
We don't just pour on top of dirt. We use a specialized "bed edger" to create a clean, level trench. This ensures your curb has a solid foundation and won't shift over time.
The Extrusion Process
This is where the magic happens. Our Kwik Kerb machine extrudes a continuous, high-strength concrete border directly into the prepared trench. No forms, no heavy mixers on your lawn, and a perfectly smooth finish every time.
Hand-Finishing & Stamping
Once the curb is laid, the team hand-finishes the concrete. If you’ve chosen a decorative style, this is when we apply the UV-resistant colors and hand-stamp the textures (like Slate, Brick, or Stone).
The Clean-up & Curing
We take pride in leaving your yard cleaner than we found it. We’ll walk you through the curing process and how to protect your new "Guido Edge" for the first 24 hours.
